Whether you're looking to upgrade your current fireplace or want to add one to your home, consider this: Amazon is having an impressive one-day sale on the popular Antarctic star electric fireplace. Until midnight, you can snag this fireplace for just $176, down from $270.
Let's talk about this fireplace: For starters, it's electric, so there's no hidden cost of adding a chimney or anything to use it. The fireplace doesn't create a real flame, so it doesn't give off harmful gas, dust or ashes. All you need to do is decide how you want it displayed. It can be recessed, semi-recessed or wall-mounted. Meaning, you can literally just screw it into your wall.
The fireplace uses LED lights with a large display to cause the flame to "burn." You can flip through 12 different colors of flames and different crystal colors to find the combination that works for you.
On to the heating part! The fireplace features a front heater blower with 750- and 1500- watt modes to allow you to generate some serious warmth over up to 400 square feet. Just adjust the modes with the handy remote control or touch screen, which includes options like a one to eight-hour timer, adjustable flame color, speed and sleep mode function.
The 36-inch fireplace weighs just 33 pounds, making it a project one person can handle. (Worth noting: There are other fireplace sizes, including 42-, 50- and 60-inches, and they're all on sale.)
