El Paso Zoo brings ‘Zoo Camps’ in time for Summer

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Registration is open for the El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens’ Summer Zoo Camps.

The Summer Zoo Camps are for children aged 6 to 10 years old and will have immersive camp sessions weekly from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to the news release by the City of El Paso.

The camp will be from June 3 through Aug. 2 and will include all supplies including a camp T-shirt, a daily snack and a digital group photo.

Children will participate in tours, behind-the-scenes encounters and interactive games, with the goal in mind for the kids to have more respect to nature and wildlife, according to the City.

“The El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens believes in animal education through entertainment and these camps offer a wild adventure for children,” said El Paso Zoo and Botanical Gardens Director Joe Montisano. “Where else can a child enjoy a close-up encounter with exotic animals all while learning about the importance of saving wildlife!”
