These Egg-Shape Oreos Are the Ultimate Easter Basket Stuffer

A touch of spring is arriving in the cookie aisle very soon. If you’re already gearing up for Easter (even though we haven't hit Valentine's Day), Oreo just announced the return of its egg-shape cookies. While the kids wait for the Easter Bunny to visit in April, you can grab a pack of these treats starting in February.

Rather than the usual circle shape, these Easter Oreos are shaped like eggs, and the cookies are tinted pink with the usual crème filling. And since all Easter eggs deserve pretty designs, five different designs are pressed into the cookies.

Don't let the pink color throw you off, these cookies will taste just like the Golden Oreos you know and love, they're simply dressed up for the occasion. There’s no official release date for the egg-shaped cookies, but according to Oreo, you’ll start seeing them on shelves nationwide in the coming weeks. They'll likely be the same price range as the rest of the Oreo family (about $3 per package). We’re not sure how long the limited-time offering will stick around, so if you want to try them, we’d recommend buying a pack before the holiday rush.

While you wait, there are plenty of other Oreo flavors you can stock up on before then. Most Stuf Oreos, which are filled with an extravagant amount of crème, hit shelves once again on January 20, and the newest Chocolate Marshmallow and Caramel Coconut flavors will be available right around then.
