Shark S3501 Steam Pocket Mop Hard Floor Cleaner

"I like the Shark Steam Pocket Mop because I don’t have to lug around a mop and bucket which can be messy. The steam from the mop cleans and disinfects so much faster than a traditional mop—plus, I don’t have to use harsh chemicals for cleaning. The best part? The eco-friendly microfiber pads can be tossed into your washer and reused over and over."—Joe Morales, Senior Commerce Editor

BLUELAND Dishwasher Detergent Tablets

"I've been on the hunt for a great dishwasher detergent that doesn't feel wasteful for years, and I've tried a range of liquid, powder, and pod detergents from different brands. At long last, Blueland's tablets have hit the mark. Not only do they consistently get my dishes clean, but they're also conveniently compact for storage and super easy to use. Arguably, the best part is that, unlike many pod-style options, they don't have hidden plastics that can sneak into waterways. I just purchased a package of "refill" tablets and dumped them into a container I already had, but you might want to snag Blueland's dishwasher starter set, which comes with a sleek, reusable steel tin that'd look great on any kitchen counter."—Wesley Salazar, Contract Senior Commerce Editor

Will & Atlast Paris Striped Tote

"In my attempt to avoid relying on plastic shopping bags, I've invested in this gorgeous striped tote from Will & Atlas. It's hand-woven and sustainably sourced from jute, an eco-friendly, biodegradable fiber. Not only is this fair trade bag striking and well made, but it's also spacious and oversized, perfect for carrying a load of groceries or packing a towel and snacks for lounging at the beach or park. I love that it's lined with a sturdy cotton interior, has long handles, and is equipped with a zippered pocket, so I can safely store a wallet or keys while I shop. Plus, I always keep it stashed in the car, so I conveniently have it on hand—especially for last-minute shopping trips."—Michelle Lau, Commerce Editor

Pumie Heavy-Duty Pumice Scouring Stick

"Pumice stones make me feel like some sort of cleaning wizard! We have hard water and they can handle the mineral build-up in my bathroom like no other, with no cleaners or solution required. I always have one or two under my sink, along with a pair of rubber gloves—you can buy pumice stones with handles too, but I opt for the stone itself since you can easily adjust your angle as it wears away. A little elbow grease is required, but I find the results to be well worth the effort."—Dena Ogden, Commerce Writer

Subeyku Bamboo Dish Scrub Brushes, Set of 3

"Despite having a dishwasher at home, I hand-wash all of my stainless steel pots and pans with Subekyu's bamboo dish scrub. I've used other scrub brushes before, but this one's compact design makes it so much easier to get all the food particles out of the corners. Since there are three brushes in the set, I use one to scrub the potatoes, one to wash the dishes, and one as a spare. Steel scrubbers can also be effective in removing food debris, but they leave scratches on pots. The sisal bristles on this scrubber are firmer than a plastic brush but gentler than a standard steel scrubber, in my experience. While I haven’t tried to compost the scrubber, it’s made from compostable bamboo and sisal."—Daniela Galvez, Senior Commerce Editor

Judith Bloom Seed Starter Tray

"Each spring I start flowers and vegetables from seed, and this year I decided to switch from a plastic seed starter tray to a reusable option. Made of terra cotta and painted ceramic, the Judith Bloom planter is stylish enough to display anywhere in my home. It's also super practical as well, with a self-watering feature that is perfect for people (like me) that forget to water their plants occasionally. I just need to fill up the reservoir via the watering hole and cork it back up when done and those little seedlings can drink up the water for up to a week. It fits 10 seedlings and includes a matching tray."—Jenica Currie, Commerce Editor

L'AVANT Collective High Performing Laundry Detergent, Fresh Linen

"Eco-friendly (and gorgeously packaged) cleaning brand L'AVANT Collective just launched a new line of laundry essentials that I love. The detergent is super concentrated, so you only need to use it a little bit at a time, limiting the need to purchase more plastic bottles or use laundry pods that leave traces of plastic behind. Plus, I love the ergonomic design and size of the bottle, which makes it easy to lug to the basement of my building on laundry day. There are no bleach, dyes, phthalates, phosphates, or parabens, which is just an added plus (along with the beautiful, subtle smell)."—Julia Fields, Associate Commerce Editor

Lomi Composter

"My biggest gripe about composting has always been the difficulty in figuring out what can be composted and what can't (and the potential for unwanted odors)—but when I found the Lomi, that changed! The Lomi actually makes composting a breeze, and it's completely clean and odor-free. This little workhorse of an appliance looks sleek in your home, and it can handle so much more than your average compost bucket. It'll take food scraps, coffee grounds, and even certain types of cardboard and paper products and turn them into ready-to-use fertilizer you can carry right out to your garden in a matter of hours. It's really won me over with its cleanliness and convenience; with the push of a button, I can repurpose waste. It's especially a must-have if, like me, you live in a city with mandatory composting."—Heather Adams, Senior Commerce Editor

Puebco Vintage Parachute Light Bag, Olive

"You can never have enough reusable bags, but sometimes it can be hard to find options that feel intentional (rather than, say, a tote that you got for free at an event). This particular one is made from recycled parachute material, giving it a lightweight, yet durable, feel that's worked perfectly for both groceries and everyday essentials. I'm also a fan of Puebco's other sustainable offerings, like these waxed cotton grocery bags."—Lily Sperry, Commerce Editor

Stasher 4-Pack Silicone Reusable Storage Bags

"Recently, I've made it my personal mission to limit my use of single-use plastic, and Stasher bags have seriously become a kitchen staple for me in the past year or so. They're a great replacement for disposable sandwich baggies and I also love that they're dishwasher-, microwave-, and freezer-safe, which makes them ideal for cooking and storing food. I honestly haven't used a plastic sandwich bag since!"—Bianca Pineda, Commerce Writer

Mrs. Meyer's Soy Lilac Tin Candle

"I'm a bit candle-obsessed, and I also prefer to reuse my glass candle jars when possible. However, I've started to have quite the collection of empty vessels, so I was thrilled to learn that Mrs. Meyer's offers the same signature and seasonal candle scents in tin packaging, which can easily be recycled. The lilac scent is my favorite to light right after I've finished cleaning around my home. The brand also uses a blend of plant-derived soy wax and essential oils, so I feel good burning this candle in my home."—Emma Phelps, Associate Commerce Editor
