A good pair of pajamas will change the way you sleep. Whether you've been committed to an XL t-shirt for years or prefer a nice set, what you wear when you crawl into bed matters.

Enter, Cozy Earth. The luxury brand is known for its popular loungewear and bedding products. While Country Living has included Cozy Earth products in past gift guides, the pajamas remain the most popular. They really took off after Oprah placed them on her Oprah's Favorite Things list in 2019. One aspect that's not so popular though is the price tag. A bestselling pajama set or sleep dress can cost you anywhere from $130 to $250, making them a bit of a splurge for most of us. And I don't expect Oprah to yell, "You get Cozy Earth pajamas!" anytime soon.

So, are they worth it? While Cozy Earth isn't new to Country Living, we're putting them to the ultimate test. Three commerce editors who specialize in product testing and reviewing, myself included, wore them to find out if they're worth the hype. How they feel, how they look, how they wear, and how they wash are all things we took into consideration.

From lounging around the house and curling up in bed, to washing and drying them, we're giving our honest reviews on the viral pajamas.

Short Sleeve & Pant Bamboo Pajama Set

"These are the best pajamas I've ever owned. And believe me, I was skeptical about them. When I first tried the Bamboo Pajama Set, I didn't think they would be all that different from my $30 pajamas that look pretty similar. It only took about five minutes of wearing them to feel how comfortably these pieces fall on my body.

The bamboo material is what makes them so smooth and stretchy to wear. I typically get hot in the night but these always seem to stay cool. After wearing them over time and getting a few washes in, I was also surprised to notice the material never seemed to pill or thin. If anything, I think they get softer with each wash! Although there is a stretchy waistband on the pants, they never feel tight or dig into my skin. I'm typically a size 12 and have Cozy Earth pajamas in sizes Large and XL, but prefer Large. While the XL is a little too big, they're just extra roomy for cozy nights! As someone who rarely spends over $100 on a piece of clothing or pajamas, I found out there is truly a difference in the way these materials work and how the pajamas are made that are worth the investment. If you're someone who really appreciates a good night's sleep and you're looking for ways to reach ultimate relaxation at the end of the day, I think the Cozy Earth Bamboo Pajama Set is the best choice."

Bamboo Pajama Set

"In my years of reviewing products, I’ve learned that nice pajamas are always worth the investment. We spend so much of our lives sleeping and the quality of our sleep affects every aspect of our day — we should do everything we can to make our nights as great as possible! With that being said, I definitely think these are worth the price tag.

The fabric of the Bamboo Jogger Set is so soft and smooth that I almost don’t even notice it against my skin. This style is definitely more fitted, so I would size up if you’re between sizes! Though they're more fitted, that doesn’t make them uncomfortable. The fabric is so, so soft, but in a barely-there way. It almost feels like a second skin. However, they're THICK! It’s so comfortable in the winter months, but I broke out in a sweat within five minutes of wearing it during late spring. It’s an investment, but you’ll get so much wear out of these pajamas that cost per wear is pretty low, overall."

Women's Short Sleeve Bamboo Pajama Set

"I tend to be a hot sleeper, so I opted for the Short Sleeve Bamboo Pajama Set. I'm typically between a medium and a large and found the "Size Quiz" helpful in figuring out which to choose. I went with the medium, and they fit well without being too tight. I love the drapey stretch-knit fabric, and it has kept me cool at night. Plus, as a mom, I love the modest silhouette that I feel comfortable wearing around the house. The PJs have washed well, and they'll be my go-to set, especially for warmer months. As for price, the Cozy Earth pajamas are more than I would typically spend, but they would make a great gift for a birthday, or anniversary."

Final Verdict

The initial price on Cozy Earth's pajamas is pretty steep, but considering how much wear you'll get out of them, we think it's worth the investment. The high-quality material holds up well in the wash and you'll get a great night's sleep thanks to the breathability in the pajama sets, though we recommend the jogger set only for winter months. While the pajama sets ran true-to-size/a bit large, the jogger set ran small, so be sure to use the size guide since sizing seems to be a bit inconsistent across the brand's product line.
