Edible flower ice cubes are the next foodie TikTok trend you need to try

Samantha Wong of the Hong Kong-based blog Sam is Home dishes on travel, art and food. Wong touts her TikTok, samishome, as a home cafe — although you’d be hardpressed to find some of these goodies at your local coffee shop.

Her cloud jelly Dalgona latte looks like a piece of edible sky, meanwhile, her whipped taro milk is a lavender dream and her strawberry coffee looks decadent enough for Versailles.

To upgrade her morning lattes, Wong was inspired by the TikTok account Imy1311. The vlogger tried to bake flowers into her cookies and hilariously failed.

But it’s where Wong got her genius idea for edible floral ice cubes. If you like floral notes in your lattes, water or seltzer this is a brilliant way to integrate it.

Making the flower ice cubes is easy. All you need is your regular ice tray, water and flowers of your choice. Wong clips the petals and places them in the tray, adds water and freezes. Each cube is a different vibrant flower. Next, Wong places a few in a glass, adds milk and a shot of espresso. The flower ice latte is complete!

The aesthetically pleasing idea got 10.4 million views on TikTok.

“BRB, canceling all plans to try this,” one user wrote.

“This is so romantic and beautiful. It’s like ice cubes went to France for a summer,” another said.

“This makes me feel comfy,” someone wrote.
