Edible Arrangements Is Selling Chocolate-Covered Strawberries Topped With Ghost Pepper Flakes And They're Only For The Brave
Chocolate-covered strawberries are a sweet way to show you care on Valentine’s Day but, you know, they've been done before. So this holiday, Edible Arrangements is taking your standard chocolate-covered strawberries and raising the bar.
The company is rolling out a new limited-edition Love on Fire Box for Valentine’s Day, and it features chocolate-covered strawberries covered in spicy ghost pepper flakes. That’s right—they took one of the world’s hottest peppers and put it on strawberries. Because nothing says "I love you" quite like experiencing the feeling of your tongue being on fire.
In case you’re not super familiar with ghost peppers, Edible Arrangements helpfully points out in a press release that the ghost pepper is more than 100 times hotter than a jalapeño. So...they're hot. And apparently they also trigger a release of feel-good hormones. While your S.O. is getting fired up, they’ll also experience a rush of endorphins and dopamine from all that heat, Edible Arrangements says.
We tried these for ourselves in the Delish office and while people did seem to like them, they're definitely intense. Just try smooching after eating one of these.

Too hot for ya? Edible Arrangements also has a less intense, but still spicy Burning Love Bouquet that features semisweet chocolate-dipped strawberries topped with spicy chipotle chili flakes and served alongside pineapple hearts and grapes.
