Ed Sheeran Thinks You've Never Had A 'Proper Hot Sauce'

English crooner Ed Sheeran is best known for belting out hits like "Bad Habits" and "Shape Of You," but for his next project he's bringing the heat in a completely different way. Seemingly unimpressed with the selection of hot sauces currently on the market, the singer recently set out on a quest to create "a proper hot sauce."

"I felt like something was profoundly missing in my life, and after much soul searching, I realised it was a proper hot sauce. So I made @tinglyteds," Sheeran wrote in an Instagram post announcing his hot sauce.

In the brief video, he explained that his goal with Tingly Ted's, which will be released in partnership with Kraft Heinz, was to create a versatile hot sauce with a ketchup-like consistency that won't end up being tossed aside in your pantry. You know, like those eight bottles of hot sauce in there right now.

"I love my food, that’s no secret. But the older I get, the more I need spice," said Sheeran in the video. "So we’ve developed a hot sauce called Tingly Ted’s. I’ve developed this over time with some expert hot sauce makers. And we basically widdled it down to the best flavors, the best chilis. And I wanted it the same consistency of ketchup. And I wanted something that took pride and place on the shelf or in the fridge. That didn’t just get relegated to the cupboard with all the other hot sauces."
