The past year has been an incredibly confusing one, but one of the few bright lights were the female musicians who slayed the game. But apparently, in the most 2018 news of all time, it still wasn't enough to beat Ed Sheeran when it came to concert revenue.

According to Rolling Stone, Ed made more touring this year than any other artist has in 30 years. He sold "4,860,482 tickets across 53 cities and 94 shows for an all-time record gross of $432 million." By comparison, Taylor Swift's tour made $345.1 million and Beyoncé's tour made $254.1 million.

Taylor, who's been friends with Ed for forever, probably feels like this about the news, because she is a good friend:

But the rest of the world may feel like this about the news:

Because, like, Beyoncé and Taylor's tours were incredible. Beyoncé dropped a surprise album during hers, and Taylor's was good enough to make a whole documentary about.

FYI, here's the official top ten list, from most tickets sold: Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z/Beyoncé, Pink, Bruno Mars, Eagles, Justin Timberlake, Roger Waters, U2, and The Rolling Stones. That's just for worldwide tour sales. If you look at North America specifically, Taylor Swift and Jay-Z/Beyoncé were number one and two, respectively.

I'll leave you with this, just to ponder:
