Ed Sheeran and Elton John spread some festive cheer as the friends swapped Christmas presents and pulled crackers as they watched football.

Ed, an Ipswich Town supporter, and Elton, who supports Watford, went to watch their teams battle it out against one another at Vicarage Road on Tuesday night (12 December).

Before the match, they enjoyed the Christmas festivities by swapping presents.

Ed shared the moment on his Instagram page to celebrate the anniversary of the release of their Christmas duet, Merry Christmas.

He said: “Went with Elton to watch our boyhood teams play each other.”
