Rachel Redwine and Sydney Ellen Chewning are best friends, Tyler natives and business partners.

“I reeled in one of my closest friends to kind of start this little business with me, I thought it’d be fun for us to kind of step out and get creative,” Chewning said.

The two women teamed up to start a ‘paint your own pottery’ business in 2024.

“I have always been a crafty gal,” Redwine said. “I’ve loved this type of stuff. I used to go when I was little, and I loved it. And my business partner, Sydney Ellen, and I just had a shared passion for it. And the idea came upon us one day, and we were like, ‘let’s take advantage.'”

Their business, Rosey Posey Pottery, is a place for friends to go out for fun, people to get creative or to make a custom gift for a loved one. Redwine and Chewning want everyone to feel welcome to express themselves.

“We hope that they have somewhere that they can express themselves and be creative and enjoy the environment,” Chewning said. “Because we feel like we’re this is our happy place. And so we want it to be somebody else’s happy place.”

Life is what you make it, or paint it, and these East Texas Women provide the tools for East Texans to add their own touch while they paint pottery and make memories.

“We hope it’s just a fun time,” Redwine said. “It’s a getaway. It’s supposed to be happy and carefree. You know, you pour your paint on the table, you have a good time you get messy. You have fun.”
