East Coast Skier Proves Ice Cliffs Are Huckable With Jaw Dropping Photos

The East Coast doesn't have its famous catchphrase "ski the ice" for nothing.

The talented ski photographer Jamie Walter, from Maine, posted a series of photos showing everyone how to shred when things aren't perfect powder. "Freezing rain sucks, but a little ice has never scared us east coasters // Whit Horn putting on a clinic in 2014 showing the rest of us how to shred the hell out of an insane ice bulge."

As a skier raised in Maine, seeing this kind of charging going down in my home state still blew my socks off. I've never seen ice-skiing this extreme.

Not only is Whit skiing blue ice, but he's hucking cliffs made out of ice. Talk about a hard landing!

The spot is a secret, known only by hardcore Mainers looking for a challenge outside of the ice found in their local resorts (which can be pretty icy, don't get it twisted)!

We all know locals don't share spots.

The last photo shows Whit hiking back up to do it again.

Absolute insanity.
