How to easily remove scuff marks from dishes with this one ingredient

Those scratches on your ceramic plates and bowls aren’t actually scratches. They’re scuffs and metal deposits from your silverware, now living on your dishes. Essentially, these marks live on the surface, which means they can be cleaned away relatively easily. With just one ingredient, your dishes can be like new again.

So, grab your plates, bowls, rubber gloves, Bar Keepers Friend, a sponge (we recommend one that’s only used with Bar Keepers Friend or other mild abrasives) and get ready to make them shine again!

Watch this video to see how one product can remove marks from ceramic dishes.

Make your dishes shine

To make your ceramic dishware look like new:

  1. Rise your dish with water.

  2. Sprinkle it with Bar Keepers Friend. Mix it with water and scrub.

  3. Rinse the dish.

  4. Check your work.

  5. Repeat as needed.

  6. When you’re happy with the result, wash the dish with soap and water. Ensure you're not using the same sponge that had the Bar Keepers Friend on it!

Unlike other cleaning products, it’s not recommended to leave Bar Keepers Friend sitting on a product for longer than a minute, so this process should be quick and easy!

Baking soda can also be used as an alternative, but it may require some extra scrubbing.
