Ease Your 'Friends' Withdrawal with This Chandler-Themed Funko Cereal

We’re about a month into 2020, which means anyone who loved watching Friends on Netflix is likely still experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Luckily, there’s been plenty of non-streaming items to fill the gap, like a Friends-themed slow cooker, for example.

If your addiction to streaming Friends was so severe that you’re still having trouble getting yourself out of bed every morning, you might want to know about a new Funko cereal with a very special prize inside for big-time Chandler Bing fans.

At first glance, these new “Chandler”-flavored FunkO’s would seem to be indistinguishable from any other multigrain cereal you’d pour into your breakfast bowl. But let’s be real—the cereal itself is secondary to what else is in the box: A limited edition Funko Pop of Young Chandler, as seen in Friends season 5 episode 8, “The One With All The Thanksgivings.” Chandler’s look in that flashback was supposed to be a bit corny when the episode first aired in 1998, but honestly it seems like his outfit (maybe not the hair) has come back in style by now.

Much like Kansas City Chiefs fans will be holding onto their boxes of Mahomes Magic Crunch, this box of Chandler FunkO’s is also something of a collectible itself. In addition to featuring a blown-up depiction of the fun lil’ Funko Pop contained within, there’s also a maze on the back made to look like the iconic frame around the peephole familiar to anyone who’s ever wondered how Joey, Ross, Chandler, Monica, Phoebe, and Rachel were able to afford their massive New York apartments. Could we BE any more excited?

Of course, this isn’t Funko’s first foray into TV-themed cereal with a prize inside. Some examples in recent times include Rugrats cereal, as well as a Golden Girls edition that’s still going for upwards of $100 on eBay.

There’s no telling how much these Chandler FunkO’s will fetch on auction sites, but the good news is that you won’t have to cut off your toe or put a turkey on your head to get a box of your own. Retailer Boxlunch, who also sold that Friends slow cooker, currently has boxes listed for just five bucks. But hurry. Just like Friends disappeared from Netflix, this cereal won’t be there for you forever.
