Earth to K.E.V.I.N: Give ‘She-Hulk’ Another Season

Warning: This article contains major spoilers for She-Hulk Season 1.

Another Marvel show has ended. But with a Season 1 finale comes the inevitable question: will there be a Season 2? She-Hulk:Attorney at Law didn’t explicitly answer the question in the Season 1 finale, but it gave us a possible hint to the show’s future.

She-Hulk’s fourth wall-breaking finale followed Jen (played by the incredible Tatiana Maslany) as she finally faced her mysterious villain, the online troll HulkKing–who just turned out to be an incel bro she rejected on a first date. But exactly how she defeated him was a complicated endeavor. Unhappy with the major Hulktastic fight the finale lead to, Jen broke out of her own show and headed to the writers’ room, where she not only met the creative minds behind her show, but also found herself face to face with the one and only K.E.V.I.N. No, not Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, but rather K.E.V.I.N., a Marvel storytelling A.I. Jen then gets to choose how she wants the season to end, thus breaking from the more formulaic storytelling most Marvel shows and movies have. Not only did she defeat her villain her way (with the law), but she even got to bring back Daredevil, because why not? It’s not like he’s doing anything else until 2023 anyway.

Now that the first season is wrapped up to Jen’s (and our) liking, when can we expect to see She-Hulk again? And will she be on the big screen or the little screen? We’ve got everything to know about She-Hulk Season 2, and we’ll update this space whenever there’s news.

There’s no word yet from Marvel on if or when She-Hulk will return. But the Season 1 finale may have dropped hints to the character’s future.

While she’s talking with K.E.V.I.N., we hear a few tidbits of pertinent information. “See you on the big screen,” K.E.V.I.N. says as Jen heads out. “Really?” She asks. “No,” K.E.V.I.N. says. Obviously it’s a joke…or is it?

She-Hulk's arc is less a superhero introduction and more of a fun diversion from the serious stories we usually see in Marvel's shows. It'd be hard to bring that lighthearted tone to a Marvel movie when She-Hulk would probably have to be part of a very serious team-up with say, Captain America, Doctor Strange, and whoever else is fighting a world-ending threat. It's hard to imagine Jen Walters fighting Thanos.

And then there’s back in the writers’ room. When Jen first walks in to confront the writers, we hear them discussing a potential Season 2 storyline where everything is actually an elaborate dream. Thankfully, it sounds like Jen won’t let the “it was all a dream” trope stand, but these fourth wall conversations could mean She-Hulk has a future as a television show and not as a lead-in to the movies, where she'd most likely get in a humorous quip or two before smashing aliens into a building or beating up supernatural beings who want to destroy our universe.

In the meantime, we can speculate when we'll see Hulk's backstory with Skaar, his son, and gear up for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which hits theaters in less than a month.
