Eagle Nest Lake State Park open for boating

TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) – With spring weather, recreation is returning to Eagle Nest Lake State Park. Boating is now permitted, but some winter ice remains on the lake.

“While the majority of the lake surface is open water there is still ice in some areas and boaters are urged to use caution at all times,” Park Superintendent Jordan Mitchell said in a press release. “Be sure to dress appropriately in layers, stay dry, and always wear a properly fitted life jacket.”
