Gone are the days of lugging around a heavy vacuum with a long cord trailing behind, getting caught on everything from the coffee table to the cat. Cordless vacuums give you freedom! And our favorite one on the market is 40 percent off today, as part of Amazon’s Deal of the Day.

With a docking station that conveniently hangs on the wall, this baby can run for 30 minutes at a time. And it gets down and dirty—the bristles go deep into carpet fibers to whisk away debris. And it works just as well on hard floors.

It’s so lightweight that you can swing it up to nab cobwebs in high corners and go up and down the drapery without throwing your back out. Pet hair on the upholstery? No problem—it transforms into a handheld with just a click.

We love that it lays basically flat for getting under beds and sofas, too.

This renewed model, which includes a Combo Tool, Crevice Tool, Mini Motorhead Tool, and Flexi Crevice Tool, is as good as new—seriously. It’s been thoroughly inspected and tested and comes with a 90-day Amazon Renewed Guarantee so you can return it if there’s any issues, no questions asked.

It does an incredible job with pet hair, as this satisfied customer can attest: “I have a short-hair Pitbull Cur and he sheds like crazy. I went from sweeping the house twice a day just to control it to running around with this thing for 15 minutes tonight and it did a fantastic job. It is so light and easy to get into tight spaces. It fits underneath most furnishings and into all my tight corners. The suction is great. Sad to say that I filled up the whole canister on only half of the kitchen but that speaks more to the amount of dog hair than the size of the canister.”

“I have over 1,900 square feet that I clean with a single charge (tile floor, lower suction power option) and it works perfectly,” says another happy customer. “The battery gives me the option to do a quick cleanup every night after dinner and after the kids have tracked dirt and grass throughout the main floor of my house.”

U.S. Justice Ginsburg puts temporary hold on Trump financial records dispute

Mark B: Trump has filed an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court. One of the conditions necessary for a court to hear such an appeal is for the appellant to show "irreparable harm" if the motion is not granted. I have yet to hear what irreparable harm Trump would suffer should the subpoenas be upheld and his financial records disclosed. The disclosures would go only to a secret NY grand jury or to the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee (Rep. Richard Neal). In both cases, the law prohibits disclosure beyond those parties. In such a case, there is no irreparable harm that Trump could possibly claim. So, my guess is, he loses both appeals. Of course, the outstanding question remains: what is in Trump's tax returns that he is so incredibly concerned not ever be disclosed?
