Dyson’s Purifier Cool TP07 is pricey, but it’s extremely popular, glowingly reviewed, and “Amazon’s Choice” for an air purifier. It’s also discounted by more than 20%, down from $650 to a more manageable $500. As a slight upgrade, the “Hot + Cool” model — exactly the same, but with a heater function — is also currently discounted by 20%, down from $749 to $599.
These models do cost a pretty penny, but unlike their peers, they’re multifunctional — they have both cooling and heating settings. It’s an especially good value for those with small places, and don’t want to make a Sophie’s Choice between cold air, hot air, and clean air. It’s good for big spaces, too; Dyson touts its “long-range protection” for larger rooms. It even oscillates.
Reviewers praise the smart sensor, which means that the air purifier decides when the air is polluted and needs a cleaning (saving you from constantly glancing at your weather app). It also has a quieter night mode, and can be voice-controlled via Amazon’s Alexa, Apple’s Siri, and Google Home devices. Customers who sprung for the Hot + Cool model also said that the fan and heater are also as strong as a regular heater or fan (or come remarkably close).
