  • Dylan Sprouse just posted an interesting Instagram slideshow and caption for Barbara Palvin's birthday.

  • He compared her to a Japanese term that means she started off in "disgust" before becoming "lovey dovey."

It's 2019. The world is literally on fire and Instagram birthday posts have gotten out of hand. Somehow a simple "HBD to this dork" doesn't cut it anymore and a 36-slide Insta Story walk down memory lane has become the norm. Alternatively, so have novel-length captions, which is exactly what Dylan Sprouse just posted to celebrate Barbara Palvin's 26th birthday. And let me tell you, it was full of PDA and interesting comparisons.

For her October 8th bday, Dylan posted a series of pics and videos of them engaging in intimate conversations in the middle of a sidewalk, her kissing his cheek, and him winking at her across their individual first-class pods on an airplane.

Also in the slideshow was a picture of a very curvy warrior girl illustration, who one is supposed to assume is Barbara. There was also one of some characters that were used to represent a Japanese term that Dylan said reminds him of Barbara. The term, BTW, is tsundere, which describes a character who starts out "cold" and might "turn away in disgust" before becoming "lovey dovey" with their partner. So, uh, based on this, I guess we're supposed to assume that Barbara didn't exactly welcome Dylan with open arms at first. Hey, it happens!

Honestly, you just gotta read the whole caption, complete with his nickname for her and references to her "strong Hungarian personality and mannerisms." Here it is in full:

"So I found a Japanese adjective that describes you and it’s Tsundere. It’s been a year and change since we started dating and even through moments of stress or hardship be it from life, career, or society, you’ve gotten warmer and friendlier and lovelier every time I see you again. Your strong Hungarian personality and mannerisms have developed into exactly what you intended them to be and I’m always in deep admiration at the way you can enact change into your world and yourself to become who you know you’re destined to be. I picked these photos because I know I always ruin them with my inability to take it seriously but you look fire in em anyways. Happy birthday smoogie, I love you and thanks for being the 5 star Tsundere anime warrior GF I always needed."
