13 Reasons Why might be coming to an end, but that's not stopping Dylan Minnette from coming up with new ideas for what could happen to Clay next.

In a new interview with Variety, Dylan revealed that part of what happened in season four would likely follow him if there was a fifth season.

"Clay quarantining in Evergreen County with his parents — and ghost versions of deceased characters Justin, Bryce, Montgomery and Hannah," Variety revealed.

"It’s all set in one room," Dylan said. "Damn, actually we should have done this."

The idea would continue Clay seeing his old classmates like in season four. Justin's death definitely would have affected him after his graduation and it would fit with the current COVID-19 pandemic that has families quarantining together.

"You don’t see Clay fully recovered," he noted. "You see him come to terms with what he’s struggling with — being able to say it in front of an entire school at graduation and be able to own it — and have an optimistic outlook on life...but you don’t see him recover."

Dylan also revealed that part of the reason why we see Clay opening up about what has been happening to him and imagining his old classmates is because it was his idea.

"I remember speaking to Brian Yorkey, the showrunner, over the course of the first few seasons, saying that I really want Clay to be in therapy in Season 4 because I want to take a deep dive into what’s actually going on in Clay’s mind," he revealed. "We’ve seen him have these struggles since the beginning of the show, and I wanted to face that headfirst."

Are you hearing this Netflix? Because we would absolutely love to see this idea come to life!
