Dylan Dreyer Teased Huge Career News on Instagram and 'Today' Fans Are Freaking Out

Dylan Dreyer isn't leaving Today anytime soon, but it looks like she may be working on expanding her airtime on a completely different platform.

In a new post uploaded on Instagram, the NBC meteorologist shared a few photos from her recent trip to Hawaii. Alongside scenic images of various nature sites, Dylan took a selfie with what appeared to be a filming crew. While she didn't explicitly reveal what she was there for, she did tease that she may have something in the works that features the Today show collaborating with one of the biggest streaming sites.

"Hawaii, you are an absolute gem!" she wrote on June 14. "What an incredible trip with an incredible group of people. Thanks to everyone who made it happen. Details of why I’m here for @todayshow and @netflix coming soon!"

Given the fact that Dylan seemed to keep certain elements of her trip hush-hush, Today show fans rushed to the comments section to deliver their theories on what she might up to.

"Earth Odyssey Netflix series?!" one person wrote on Instagram, referencing the news anchor's NBC nature show. "Netflix???? Hawaii is just beautiful ❤️," another chimed in. "Can’t wait to hear the exciting news!!" a different follower replied.

While it could be some time before the children's book author delves more into the subject, she may be alluding more than she realized. She currently hosts the NBC nature show Earth Odyssey, so she's already familiar reporting on animals and natural sites. Given how Netflix loves celebrities hosting nature shows (think Zac Efron's Down to Earth), she may be doing something similar.

On the other hand, it's possible that Dylan isn't doing anything nature-related and instead working on something like Savannah Guthrie's TV show Princess Power with Netflix. Since the kids' show is based on Savannah's book Princesses Wear Pants and Dylan is the author of the popular Misty the Cloud series, she could be putting her heart and soul into a similar project.

Either way, we'll keep our eyes open to spot other clues Dylan may drop next!
