Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union's Daughter Zaya Makes Modeling Debut After Her Legal Transition

The 15-year-old modeled pieces from the Miu Miu Ready to Wear Fall/Winter 2023 collection as part of Paris Fashion Week.

Zaya Wade may only be 15, but she already has fashion sense beyond her years.

Zaya, the teen daughter of Dwyane Wade and step-mom Gabrielle Union, made her runway debut this week while walking in the show for the Miu Miu Ready to Wear Fall/Winter 2023 collection as part of Paris Fashion Week.

In photos from the event, which took place on Tuesday, March 7, Zaya is seen rocking an olive green set complete with a matching oversized blazer from the collection. She held a brown clutch bag under her arm, while strutting her stuff in a pair of matching brown strappy heels.

Of course her supportive parents were in the audience to watch Zaya slay the catwalk, and Dwyane, 41, even shared a video montage of the evening to his Instagram page after the event.

"She’s arrived," the former NBA star captioned the post, which featured slow-mo footage of Zaya taking the runway by storm, while her dad and Gabrielle, 50, watched in awe from the sides. Dwyane the definition of a proud dad in the clip, as he sported a giant smile and captured some photos on his phone.

Zaya also shared clips of the event to her socials, including an Instagram post that was simply captioned, "debut @miumiu."

"To witness your grace is something @zayawade" her dad gushed in the comments. "I am Proud of you❤️."

The fashion show appearance comes just over a week after the transgender teen was granted a legal name change and assignment of gender by a Los Angeles county judge.

Dwyane, who shares Zaya with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches, filed a petition for the name change in August 2022, and has been fully supportive throughout his daughter's transition process, despite public disparagement from his ex.

But his efforts have so far been successful, as following the February judge's ruling, Zaya's name has legally been changed to Zaya Malachi Airamis Wade.
