Less than a year after Tom Bergeron mourned the loss of Dancing With the Stars head judge Len Goodman, the former host is saying goodbye to someone else he met while working on the show.

On October 15, news broke that Suzanne Somers died at the age of 76 after battling an aggressive form of breast cancer. Throughout her 50-plus year career in Hollywood, the late actress was known for her work on Step by Step and Three's Company. Her longtime publicist, R. Couri Hay, confirmed the sad news with People, sharing that she was surrounded by loved ones the day she died — just one day shy of her 77th birthday on October 16.

Shortly after hearing the announcement of Suzanne's death, Tom paid tribute to Suzanne on Instagram with a collage of her standing alongside him during her time on DWTS. "Another bright light gone. #RIP @suzannesomers 😔," he captioned the photo on October 15.

When fans learned that the American's Funniest Home Videos alum reacted to the emotional announcement, they ran to the comments to share condolences in his grief.

"She was beautiful and radiated light throughout her life. She’s gonna be missed," one person wrote on Instagram. "So sad about this 😢 she was a gem 💎 RIP beautiful lady ❤️," another added. "Sending love and condolences 🙏. She was a beautiful soul ❤️," a different follower replied.

Some fans may remember that Suzanne appeared as a contestant on Dancing With the Stars season 20, being partnered alongside Tony Dovolani in 2015. The duo performed a number of dances throughout their time on the show (including a memorable jive routine), before getting eliminated during week 5 of the competition. What's more, Tony also paid tribute to her with his own emotional Instagram tribute.

"Rip @suzannesomers," he wrote on October 15. "What an honor getting to know you #danceinheaven beautiful human being so saddened by this news."

Our hearts are with all of Suzanne's family and friends at this time.
