‘DWTS' Fans Are Backing Up Nikki Bella After She Calls Out Tyra Banks Over Hosting Mistake

Dancing With the Stars may still be early on in its season 31, but fans aren't too thrilled with the way Tyra Banks has been performing her hosting duties — and neither is Nikki Bella.

Just one week after for the former model got called out for accidentally calling Charli D'Amelio's boyfriend the wrong name, the co-host came under fire for two pronunciation errors on the hit competition series. During the most recent episode, she discussed with the audience how wonderful Dancing With the Stars pros Daniella Karagach and (recently eliminated) Pasha Pashkov were as dancers. But instead of referring to them as the married couple that they are, she unintentionally called them a "beautiful male couple."

But that wasn't all fans were upset about. When Artem Chigvintsev and partner Heidi D'Amelio performed their Viennese Waltz, she pronounced his name wrong as well and the incident irked his wife Nikki on Twitter. "Tyra it’s CHIGvintsev lol," she tweeted as the October 10 episode aired on Disney+.

What's more, the AGT: Extreme star wasn't alone in her feelings about the situation. "Honestly!!!!" one person wrote in her comments. "As a television host, she should know how to say it, regardless of whether or not she has heard it before!" another added. "Omg yes it is not that hard," a different fan said.

While Tyra has received candid feedback since she she stepped into the role for season 29, DWTS fans aren't particularly thrilled to see her continuously make the same mistake week after week. Many quickly turned to social media to share their thoughts on the TV personality's current hosting duties, and they kept comparing her to co-host Alfonso Ribeiro and previous hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.

"All I'm gonna say is that Tom & Erin NEVER messed up this much! Tyra is not a good fit for #DancingWiththeStars," one fan wrote on Twitter. "I'm sick of Tyra making excuses that it's live TV. Alfonso has made like 1 mistake. Erin and Tom never made mistakes. I can't with with her. 😑😑," another commented. "I wish they would just let @alfonso_ribeiro host. Just him. Tyra Banks May be a fine person but I don’t like her as host of #dwts," a different viewer added.

Despite viewers having strong opinions about her hosting duties this season, Tyra still has major support from her fellow co-stars. In fact, judge Carrie Ann Inaba actually shared her feelings about the model's tenure on the show back in June and it was nothing but words of love.

"Of course, we want Tyra!" she told Entertainment Tonight at the time. "The thing about Dancing with the Stars is, once you're on our show, you're in the family. That's so precious. We truly are family. Not many shows are as close as we are."
