Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, 48, is easily one of the funniest guys to follow on Instagram. The beyond-silly gym videos and snaps of his ridiculously cute pup never cease to make us giggle to ourselves. But what we love most are the heartfelt posts the former wrestling star dedicates to his longtime girlfriend, now wife — 35-year-old singer-songwriter and music producer Lauren Hashian. While Lauren appears to fly under the radar, The Titan Games host has been more than open about his true feelings for her. And based on what he's said to the press and on social media, it's clear that their bond is as strong as ever.
Finding love again
Their story begins back in 2006 when Dwayne and Lauren's paths crossed while filming on set of his movie The Game Plan, several outlets confirm. At that time, Dwayne was married to producer and a daughter and named her Simone Alexandria.
Shortly after Dwayne and Dany divorced in 2007, he and Lauren began seeing each other. Despite his split with Dany, the ex-wrestler asked if she could be his manager in 2008, according to Marie Claire. Dany has held the position ever since.
Surprise to my @laurenhashianofficial! 🎊🎉🎈👏🏾 HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a very special, beloved, one of a kind girl. I had my trailer decorated as a surprise when she walked in as we sang some happy birthday.. But why stop there when we can have mo fun... as she was getting this trailer surprise, I had a crew go to our house and decorate so when she got home she was surprised yet again. We celebrated all weekend and to cap it off our lovely mamas performed a beautiful Polynesian hula for the honored birthday girl. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE, family, friends and all who was involved in creating such a phenomenal birthday weekend for Lauren. Amazing and so cool to see all the endless love that everyone has for this girl. Myself included. Happy Birthday darlin' darlin'! I love you and you already know, but it's appropriate I say it again, I'm a grateful man you were born. Now excuse me while I go destroy the rest of your cake. (liwdyn;) YM aka the surprise 👑

In an interview with Esquire in 2015, Dwayne revealed he had been living with Lauren for "eight, nine years now," which tells us that the two quickly moved in together after becoming official. Looking back on the early days of their relationship, the actor told People that he felt extremely lucky to have fallen in love all over again.
"To fall in love again? That’s a hard thing to do twice in the position I’m in. I’m one lucky son of a b---h.”
Enduring hard times together
The two have been through some tough obstacles, including the untimely death of Dwayne's dear friend and Fast and Furious costar Paul Walker in 2013. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 46-year-old actor recalled where he was when he found out, and how Lauren was right by his side in that heartbreaking moment.
"I was driving with Lauren when she immediately turned very quiet and was looking at me, studying, wondering if I knew. I pulled over and looked at my messages and had a moment where I just caught my breath. We said a prayer right then to give his daughter strength — because we had talked about our daughters. That's what we would talk about. Both of us were divorced, and we talked about the power of being a dad and the strong connection of a dad and his girl. Then once we got home, we started bawling."
Lauren was also there when Dwayne revisited his struggles with depression from the past and the challenges he has faced over the years in trying to maintain his mental well-being. In an Instagram post from this year, he shared his thoughts and memories of his mom's attempted suicide while filming a scene from The Ballers, where his character toasts his brother who committed suicide.
Not your typical scene on our comedy #ballers, as I cracked a beer open toasting my character’s brother, William who committed suicide. Got me thinkin’ though bout how many of us have been affected by suicide of our friends, family. Struggle and pain is real. We’ve all been there on some level or another. My mom tried to check out when I was 15. She got outta the car on Interstate 65 in Nashville and walked into oncoming traffic. Big rigs and cars swerving outta the way not to hit her. I grabbed her and pulled her back on the gravel shoulder of the road. What’s crazy about that suicide attempt is to this day, she has no recollection of it whatsoever. Probably best she doesn’t. Shits of a scene to shoot - didn’t like it - but it did reminder that we always gotta do our best to really pay attention when people are in pain. Help ‘em thru it, get ‘em talkin’ about the struggle and remind ‘em that they’re not alone. We got lucky that day when I was 15 and that ain’t always the case.

"Struggle and pain is real. We’ve all been there on some level or another," Dwayne said in the caption.
When a fan recently told him he was suffering from depression, Johnson reportedly wrote back, "I hear you. I've battled the beast more than once."
Growing their family by two
Just one week before Christmas in 2015, the pair had their first child together and named her Jasmine.
"I was right there during labor, helping her breathe, every highly intense contraction, every second of pain, right there watching the actual birth, cutting the cord and wiping the tears. Incredible," he noted on Instagram. "As men, it's a miracle we should witness because it'll give you a whole new respect for the strength and beauty of a woman."
Christmas came early! Within minutes of being born she was laying on daddy's chest. And being a grateful man takes on a whole new meaning... Thank you guys so much for the awesome congratulatory wishes and love you've been sending @laurenhashianofficial and myself. We're extremely grateful. Kinda crazy but in this cool and powerful skin to skin bonding moment with my newborn baby Jasmine, I had just one wish I asked the universe... Give me the strength to be a better man today than I was yesterday. If I can accomplish that, then I'd have a good shot at being a great father. To all you young men out there who will be fathers one day, the goal of "being better" will never steer you wrong. Trust me I've been down this road. Something else that'll never steer you wrong is "walking thru the fire" with your baby's mama. I was right there during labor, helping her breathe, every highly intense contraction, every second of pain, right there watching the actual birth, cutting the cord and wiping the tears. Incredible. *(Now don't get me wrong boys, it wasn't like I was at the end of the table, squatting like a catcher waiting for the fastball to come down the pike..😂 but as men, it's a miracle we should witness because it'll give you a whole new respect for the strength and beauty of a woman). Again, THANK YOU guys so much for all the love during this blessed time. I always say I'm a lucky dude because I've got the greatest fans in the world - and it's true. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your families from ours. #ChristmasCameEarlyToSayHello #WhileSleepOfficiallySaysGoodbye #2xProudPapaSilverback #SheCanDateWhenShes40 💪🏾👊🏾💯

A few years later in April 2018, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Tiana. To announce the news, The Rock shared another equally touching post. In it, he reflects on all the "strong, loving women" in his life and the ever-growing admiration he has for Lauren from watching her deliver new life into the world.
Skin to skin. Our mana. Blessed and proud to bring another strong girl into this world. Tiana Gia Johnson came into this world like a force of nature and Mama @laurenhashianofficial labored and delivered like a true rockstar. I was raised and surrounded by strong, loving women all my life, but after participating in baby Tia’s delivery, it’s hard to express the new level of love, respect and admiration I have for @laurenhashianofficial and all mamas and women out there. Word to the wise gentlemen, it’s critical to be by your lady’s head when she’s delivering, being as supportive as you can.. holding hands, holding legs, whatever you can do. But, if you really want to understand the single most powerful and primal moment life will ever offer - watch your child being born. Its a life changer and the respect and admiration you have for a woman, will forever be boundless. And to my third and youngest daughter, Tiana Gia - like I did when your two older sisters Simone Alexandra and Jasmine Lia were born, you have my word, I’ll love, protect, guide and make ya laugh for the rest of my life. Your crazy dad has many responsibilities and wears many hats in this big ol’ world, but being your dad will always be the one I’m most proud to wear. Oh and one more thing.. you’re gonna love rollin’ in daddy’s pick up truck. #TianaGiaJohnson🌺 #3rdDaughter #BlessesAndGratefulMan #ImInTROUBLE

The Rock isn't the only one who loves sharing pictures of his adorable girls. Lauren shares snapshots of their life with their two kids here and there. From what we can tell, they're both rockstar parents.

Dwayne is never shy about his admiration for Lauren as a mother.
"Lauren does it all with a big genuine smile and is truly, the kindest and sweetest soul you’ll ever meet," he gushed in an Instagram post for Mother's Day. "Take a bow and Queen it up — you’re an amazing mama and amazing mamas make this world go around."
No rush down the aisle
For years, it seemed like the couple might never tie the knot. There were even rumors that the pair had already married in secret.
"I just refer to her as my wife all the time. So a lot of people are like, 'Oh, did you get married?'" the action actor told ET in 2018. "I'm like, 'No. Easy. Don't rush big daddy.'"
However, on August 18, 2019, the couple exchanged vows in a low-key Hawaiian ceremony. In an Instagram post, The Rock shared news of the private affair. "Our Hawaiian wedding was beautiful and I want to thank our incredible staff for their outstanding work," he wrote. "To carry out my #1 goal of complete privacy, no wedding planners or outside resources were hired. Everything you see was created by hand, by staff and family only."
Lauren posted even more photos of the seaside ceremony, writing that she was on cloud nine.
Our Hawaiian wedding was beautiful and I want to thank our incredible staff for their outstanding work. To carry out my #1 goal of complete privacy, no wedding planners or outside resources were hired. Everything you see was created by hand, by staff and family only. The end results were spectacular and @laurenhashianofficial and I will forever be grateful for helping our hearts sing on this day. Pomaika’i ❤️ 📸@jonbrandoncruz

Dwayne disclosed to Insider that the goal is keeping his family close and trying to balance his and Lauren's hectic work schedules. But the ultimate secret to their relationship — which Dwayne dubs "the greatest relationship" — is their ability to always make each other laugh.
“First of all, she teases me about everything. Everything,” he told People for his Sexiest Man Alive interview in 2016. “Nothing is off limits in our house. And it’s the beauty of it. And I tease her with everything.”
