Dwayne Johnson Shares Sweet Video Dancing With His Mom on Her Birthday

Happy birthday, Ata!

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is celebrating his mother, Ata Maivia Johnson, who turned 74 yesterday, Oct. 25.

The actor shared a sweet video of their family's festivities on Instagram earlier today, in which Ata danced on a large patio outside as her family looked on.

"Happiest of Birthdays Mom - our matriarch of our aiga [the Samoan word for family] 🌺❤️🌊🌴," he began a sweet message in his caption. "We all get such joy seeing you radiate and smile and proudly display our culture. Grace, beauty, dignity, respect and strength. You can feel the mana [meaning power or prestige] of our ancestors all around us✨🪹."

In the video, Ata wore a beautiful orange dress with a floral pattern on the sleeves and around the lower half of the skirt as she danced in front of her family. Somebody sang and played the guitar while another played the drums, and one of her grandchildren danced with her. At one point, The Rock stepped in with another member of the family to throw cash up in the air. He danced along to the beat as another little girl ran in to collect the money off of the ground.

He didn't specify what dance Ata was performing this year, though for her birthday last year, he shared a similar video of her dancing the Taualuga, which he described as their "cultures [sic] traditional and highly respected dance," and himself dancing Aiuli, "a sign of respect and pride."

He also explained last year that it's customary to throw money.

He wrapped up this year's birthday message by writing, "And thank you for teaching our little girls 'the way' thru kindness, love and strength. Even though these little tornados run in to swoop up some cash 🌪🌪🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️💰😂 Happy Birthday Mom! We love you 🌺❤️".

Love for their matriarch flooded the former wrestler's comment section.

"The most beautiful day for the most beautiful mama in law and Grammy on this earth! @atajohnson 🌺❤️👏🏽 but not the kids stealing the cash 😩😂😂😂 Happiest Birthday and truly the best day ❤️," wrote Lauren Hashian, The Rock's wife.

"Awww love you aunty!!! ❤️❤️ happy happy bday you beautiful soul 🥺," Fifth Harmony's Dinah Jane said.

"Happy birthday Mana Mama 🌺 ❤️," podcaster Jim Kwik wrote.

Even Under Armour sent their love, writing, "Happy Birthday Mama Rock! 🎈🎉"
