Dwayne Johnson opens up about 'disappointing' beef with Tyrese Gibson

On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Dwayne Johnson opened up about the beef between himself and Fast and Furious co-star Tyrese Gibson. It began late last year, when a Furious spinoff starring Johnson was announced and Gibson reacted by taking to Instagram to blast Johnson.

A fan called into the show and asked Johnson if he has spoken to Gibson since then. “Great question, and the answer is no,” Johnson responded. “Ya know, that whole thing with Tyrese was pretty disappointing because I’d been friends with Tyrese for a very long time. And I always feel like a beef requires two people to actually jump in it, and it was really one-sided, and he had voiced his opinion a lot on social media. … We haven’t talked and I don’t see where we would, and to me, there’s no need to have a conversation.”

Johnson was less willing to talk about his ongoing beef with another Furious co-star, Vin Diesel, whom Johnson has called unprofessional. In a game of Plead the Fifth, Cohen asked, “What was the most unprofessional behavior you witnessed from Vin on set and will you ever film a scene with him again?” Johnson replied, “I’ll plead the fifth.”

Johnson also spoke briefly about a beef that’s no longer burning: the one with fellow wrestler-turned-actor John Cena. “I think we’ve squashed that,” Johnson said. “As a matter of fact, John is going to star in one of my movies that I’m producing, and I think he’s doing great. He’s done great in his transition, and I think he’s gonna continue to work hard.”

Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen airs Sun-Thurs at 11 p.m. on Bravo.
