At first glance, it doesn't seem like Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin and Stranger Things would have a ton in common. But comparing the two, both shows center on a group of close, teenage friends running around their small town to solve mysteries while bringing down a mysterious killer. And sure, the villain of the HBO Max reboot villain is far from a flesh-eating monster who lives in another dimension, but that doesn't mean that "A" is any less scary (or deadly) than ST's Demogorgons.

Well, we're adding one more thing the shows have in common, and it's a bit of an Easter 'A'-gg. A newer Stranger Things character plays an important role in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. Remember Gabriella Pizzolo who plays Dustin's (Gaten Matarazzo) tech-smart, long-distance girlfriend, Suzie, in seasons 3 and 4 of the Netflix hit? The actress is currently playing the role of Angela Waters in PLL: Original Sin. Like Suzie, Gabriella's character on PLL: Original Sin is a supporting role that doesn't appear in every episode. However, Angela is arguably the most pivotal character in PLL: OS with all of the terrifying happenings centering around her demise.

Gabriella dramatically opens the PLL spinoff series as her character, Angela, stumbles across the dance floor at a 1999 high school New Year's Eve party, crying out for help. She approaches a group of five girls who first appear to be her friends, but they ignore her. After unsuccessfully finding someone to help her, Angela climbs into the rafters and screams, "Can you see me now?" before jumping to her death. The opening scene is short, but it sets the tone for what is about to take place in the present day, where we see a mysterious, masked assailant terrorize five high school girls — Imogen, Tabby, Faran, Noa, and Mouse — for the supposed sins of their mothers.

This isn't the last time we see Angela in the series, as flashbacks detail the horrible treatment Angela gets from her peers at school, including the five popular girls who ignore her pleas for help on the dance floor.

ICYMI, Gabriella was the one who gave us that iconic Stranger Things scene where she helps save the day with Dustin, as they sing a rendition of "Neverending Story." If that unforgettable song tells us anything, it's that Gabriella sure knows how to make an impact when the cameras are on her, no matter if for a short or long time.
