Dunkin' announced that it would be giving a free medium coffee and a free donut to nurses and all healthcare workers this Wednesday in honor of National Nurses Week.

On May 6, healthcare workers can go to any participating Dunkin' nationwide and get a free medium hot or iced coffee and a free donut with no purchase necessary. The chain said this is a way of saying thanks to healthcare workers for their continued hard work.

CEO of Dunkin’ Brands Dave Hoffmann said:

As a brand with a long heritage of serving those who serve, we appreciate and honor the heroic work and unwavering commitment nurses and healthcare professionals show every day. Their selfless sacrifices inspire all of us to come together to do everything we can to support our communities. We want people on the frontlines to know that we have their backs and they can count on Dunkin’ to help keep them running.

In addition to this offer, Dunkin' said it has also been showing thanks by bringing food trucks and making deliveries to hospitals and emergency sites throughout the country including including Boston Children’s Hospital, Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Maine Medical Center, Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. You can learn more about that initiative here.

For anyone who wants to redeem this offer (or just want to make a coffee run), just a reminder that most Dunkin's are open but have services limited to carry-out, drive-thru ordering, and delivery where available.
