Dungeons & Dragons 2 Likely - Chris Pine Says He’s “Pretty Confident”

Chris Pine revealed to Games Radar that he is pretty confident a sequel to Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is on the cards.

"I don't know anything yet. But I feel pretty confident that it may happen," Pine said, revealing that he would "absolutely" love to return.

Based on the popular tabletop role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves hit theaters earlier this year.

Starring Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Hugh Grant, Chloe Coleman and Daisy Head, the film follows a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers who embark on an epic quest to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.

It was a hit among critics who rated it 91% on Rotten Tomatoes and called it "buckets of fun" and "a big-hearted crowd-pleaser". Audiences also loved it, but it only managed to make $208.1 million at the worldwide box office from its $150 million budget.

Nevertheless, it seems the hype from the film and the huge success of Baldur's Gate 3, which is based on D&D, has Paramount eyeing a return to the Dungeons & Dragons universe.
