The Dune: Part Two Press Tour Was a Fashion Feast
In 2023, Barbie changed the game for press tours as fashion events. In 2024, Dune: Part Two said, “hold my beer" (or whatever they imbibe on Arrakis).
Now that the movie is coming out and the promo cycle is wrapping up, let's look back at the absolute fashion feast that it was.
The main course that was served was the ever-serving Zendaya, paired with a Timothée Chalamet wine to enhance all the flavors, a refreshing Lea Seydoux side salad, a Florence Pugh dessert, and just when you think the meal is over, a delicious chocolate truffle shaped like Rebecca Ferguson comes with the bill. Couture fans, we are eating, we have been fed.
Herewith, the best, bestest, and even bester looks from the cast of Dune: Part Two.
Best makeup moment: Florence Pugh
Thank you to the MAM Eye Jewelry Makeup in Sterling Silver for this space-age style.
Best matching moment: Z and Timmy
The his-and-hers jumpsuits in Korea were way cool.
Best archive pull: Zendaya
Law Roach absolutely flexed with this one, outfitting the actor in an original Thierry Mugler robot suit from 1995 (one year before Zendaya was born…yes, we are ancient). Choosing a futuristic look from the past is so Dune-coded, I can't.
Honorable mention archive pull: Also Zendaya
This circuit board outfit is a 90s Givenchy pull from the house's Alexander McQueen era.
Best turtleneck: Rebecca Ferguson
This could actually go in so many categories. Center stripe! Sleeve that trails on the ground! Asymmetry! Dark lip! Nude nails! It's all working together beautifully.
Best Salt and Pepper Shaker Pair:
The light hair/light makeup/light dress and dark hair/dark makeup/dark dress contrast is such a great way to look coordinated without matching.
Most Unexpected Cut-Out: Zendaya
This cream-colored gown with a funky cutout from Stéphane Rolland Couture is sexy yet modest. And so elegant.
Most fun: Florence Pugh
There's just something about this mini-mirror-covered set that makes us want to go dancing!
Best texture: Timothée Chalamet
Not entirely sold on this sweater overall, but the knit scales certainly intrigue, and soften Timmy's super-angular frame and jawline.
Best Ribbon Dress Next to the Eiffel Tower: Zendaya
Most of the looks from this photo call were beautiful but wearable, and left out of this round-up just because they aren't that eye-catching. Except Zendaya, of course, had to model it up, and we love her for that.
Best Hood: Florence Pugh
This slinky, sequin-covered gown that includes a headpiece is such a brilliant way to incorporate the Dune aesthetic without looking costume-y.
Best two-piece: Zendaya
I called this look Space Spice and I stand by that!
Best LBD: Rebecca Ferguson
This might actually be a skirt and top, but whatever it is, it's hot.
Best Jumpsuit: Florence Pugh
Pants! She wore pants! It's 2024, women wear pants.
Best Leather: Zendaya
This black leather set from the Attico’s spring 2024 collection was unbuttoned to show off the star's navel, just one of many abs-baring looks the Euphoria actor chose.
Best Jacket: Rebecca Ferguson
I don't want to talk about the shoes.
Best cape (back category): Léa Seydoux
Did someone call for a princess? This white and gold ensemble is so pretty and timeless, and the billowing fabric behind her creates a wonderful silhouette.
Best cape (arms category): Léa Seydoux
Arms deserve capes, too, and between the bubble-like pattern and the barnacle-like embellishments, Seydoux looks like an undersea witch in the very best way.
Best cape (small category): Léa Seydoux
A small cape with a big effect! The gloves make the whole look feel purposeful and upscale, rather than tacked-on.
Second-best two-piece: Zendaya again
The style star used her platform to showcase an up-and-coming designer with this custom look by Torishéju Dumi, the first from her London brand Torishéju to appear on the red carpet.
Best Motherrrrrrrrrrrrr: Rebecca Ferguson
God is a woman.
