There are few better goaltenders when they're on than John Gibson, and the Anaheim Ducks star made the save of the year after returning to the lineup against the St. Louis Blues after a six-game injury-related absence.

Or, did he?

Gibson appeared to rob St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko with a stop that would Dominik Hasek proud, rolling over to make an apparent stack-the-pads save during Friday's 4-1 win.

As the adage goes, you have to be good to be lucky, Gibson is certainly good, so did he get lucky here? The angle is too close to tell here, but Tarasenko may have wired his shot off the crossbar, while Gibson rotated over.

This was easily the coolest of Gibson's 33 saves on the evening, as the Ducks defeated the Blues for the first time this season. A player of Gibson's caliber will be afforded the benefit of the doubt, so our money is on that he made the save. Besides, being a hater is zero fun!

Whether Gibson made the save or not, Tarasenko bearing down on the net with a great look is a frightening sight for any goaltender and the Ducks are certainly thrilled to have their best player back in net.
