Duchess Kate dazzles in black lace dress and glittering diamonds at Kensington Palace gala

The Duchess of Cambridge is officially back in action -- Kate was positively glowing as she attended a gala in honor of the Anna Freud Center tonight. As one of her royal patronages, the duchess has supported the children's mental health charity since early 2016.

Kate brought back one of her favorite gowns for the evening's event, a black lace floor length Diane von Furstenberg dress. She has worn it before, in 2014, when she was pregnant with Princess Charlotte.

Kate loves lace dresses (the slideshow at the bottom of this story is further proof of that!) but this one in particular seems to rank quite high on her list. It's no surprise, because it's classic and elegant, and black goes with everything. The duchess's version is floor length, but the 'Zarita' dress is most commonly sold in a shorter version -- which is currently available (quite discounted!) at Gilt and DVF.com in a few colors and select sizes.

The dress has a modest neckline but a pretty scalloped V down the back.

Kate paired her look with some sparkling royal diamonds: A glittering pair of earrings borrowed from the queen, and a dazzling bracelet that is currently unknown. It's likely she also borrowed it from Her Majesty's impressive lot of jewels.

What do you think of Kate's glamorous look? We vote that it's another royal home run.
