Duchess Fergie Just Revealed She’s Had a ‘Thread Lift’ & We’re Applauding Her Candor

We know a few things about the beauty preferences of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle—Kate loves Trilogy Rosehip Oil, Meghan swears by Tatcha Soothing Rice Enzyme Powder. But now, one royal is getting even more candid about her beauty and skin-care routine, and we appreciate the honesty!

Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson spoke candidly with the Daily Mail about how she used to use Botox “when there was nothing else available” and how she now swears by laser face-lifts.

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s 59-year-old mom explained that she moved away from Botox because, “I really don’t like the frozen look. I’m so animated and I like to be myself. I don’t like the thought of needles and am very glad if I look well and happy.” Fergie is nothing if not animated, so we totally get where she’s coming from.

The Duchess of York went on to say that she works with Dr. Gabriela Mercik and has happily been her “guinea pig with new treatments, too” over the years. About her decision to open up about the cosmetic procedures she’s undergone, Fergie said, “I’m really happy to be open about what I’ve had done.”

Ferguson went on to reveal that she started using organic fillers in 2013 to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles and got a “thread lift” five years ago,” which she says includes inserting “the threads under the skin with a fine needle and they hold everything up.” Additionally, the procedure purportedly increases collagen production. And the proof is in the thread (yikes). Fergie said, “I think if you look at photos of me after I had it done, I look so much better.”

Bravo, Fergie, for being your wonderfully honest self.
