Whoopi Goldberg has done it all. She’s an EGOT winner, a television host and a brilliant comedian. But the icon — who turns 64 today! — can add two new titles to her lengthy resume: fashion designer and author.
The icon released her line of Dubgee clothing this year, which ranges from graphic tees to work blouses to ugly Christmas sweaters. Yahoo Lifestyle host Kennedy Johnson caught up with the comedic legend to discuss her favorite pieces for this upcoming holiday season.
Goldberg describes her Dubgee clothing as “Things that I want to wear,” adding that she was involved in every step of the line’s development, design and distribution. “We tried to find a way to hit as many different body types and heights and weights and all kinds of stuff,” she says.
“The View” host says the pieces in her line are designed to take stress out of shoppers’ lives. “You put our stuff on, and it’s just like ‘I’m OK.’ There could be other stuff going on in your life, but you look good.”
