Dubai’s Newest Luxury Hotel Is About Fitness and Recovery. Here’s a Look Inside.

There are already plenty of sleep hotels, wellness resorts, and fitness retreats dotted across the globe, but Kerzner International has decided you can never have too much of a good thing.

The hotel operator, which oversees the likes of One&Only and Atlantis, just opened its first property under its new Siro brand. Located in Dubai’s ritzy One Za’abeel development, the Siro One Za’abeel offers a new type of guest experience centered around fitness and recovery.

Siro takes a fresh approach to wellness by combining cutting-edge technology and high-tech facilities with the brightest minds in the biz. The 122-key hotel also prioritizes the biohacking pillars of nutrition, fitness, sleep, recovery, and mindfulness so that guests can reach their full mental and physical potential.

To kick things off, a team of in-house experts will give you a full-body assessment and provide you with a personalized program tailored to your exact needs.

Fitness-wise, the Fitness Lab is comprised of four specialized studios that offer everything from High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) to boxing to pilates. (The exercise timetable includes some 50 classes a week.) The Experience Box is perhaps the best studio, with an immersive atmosphere that combines blackout elements, ambient lighting, and music. This studio also hosts specialized classes that were created in partnership with sporting greats, such as Serie A soccer powerhouse AC Milan and Olympic boxer Ramla Ali.

In addition, guests can sweat it out with high-octane, off-site activities, including desert bike rides, mountain treks, dune buggy trips, football, and golf sessions.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, the Recovery Lab allows guests to relax and unwind. In addition to things like group yoga and meditation sessions, the lab offers cutting-edge therapies, such as IV drips and cryotherapy. All treatments are carefully designed to alleviate tension, muscle pain, and inflammation while promoting circulation, tissue repair, and recovery. You can also opt for more holistic treatments like myofascial cupping or dry needling, for instance. To top it off, the Recovery Lab is equipped with infrared saunas, steam rooms, cold plunges, relaxation areas, and zen spaces.

The hotel itself is also designed to evoke tranquility, with minimalist interior decor and a palette of neutral tones. Each room features large floor-to-ceiling windows—with blackout blinds, of course—as well as thermo-regulating King Koil mattresses and projectors for in-room recovery sessions. All have essential exercise equipment, too, such as stretch bands, exercise balls, and yoga mats for private workouts.

Siro also offers six Fitness Suites and six Recovery Suites for those who wish to take their training or relaxation up a level. The Fitness Suites have a mini private gym with extra machines and equipment, while the Recovery Suites have a therapy bed and bathtub.

As for food, Siro has several dining options to help you maintain a balanced diet. The Refuel Bar slings smoothies and healthy snacks, while 24-hour in-room dining will bring you personalized nutritious meals. Menus come with calories and macro counts, naturally. Guests can also consult the in-house nutritionist to develop a tailored meal plan. Oh, and the minibar is stocked with fresh fruit, ginger shots, and kombucha instead of the usual booze and candy.

Sounds like a trip to Dubai is in order.

Rooms at Siro start at just over $500 a night.
