Dua Lipa's Backless Dress Plunges to Her Belly Button
By now, you probably know that Dua Lipa is taking a break from touring and having a belated holiday season. If you happen to follow her on Instagram, you'll have got wind of her fab, late-summer travel plans: from wedding season in France to living it up in Ibiza. The best part about all this? The fit pics of course!
With her signature cool girl style, Dua has been giving us some next-level wardrobe inspo: including a totally see-through slinky white dress (going to show up in this to my ex's wedding), a megawatt micro bra top and even a "jellyfish dress" from a fashion label beloved by Doja Cat and Hailey Bieber.
Now, it seems like she may be back on the grind but she still knows how to pull a serious look. In Paris (I'm already jealous) for the launch party of YSL Beauty's new Libre Le Parfum campaign, she rocked an outfit that basically had our jaws on the floor.
From Saint Laurent's AW 2022 ready-to-wear collection, she wore a slinky black party dress with a pluuuunging neckline and featuring a huge purple corsage detail. Posting the look on her feed, she captioned the look with a saucy throwaway: "a french kiss".
The look is major indie sleaze meets French girl chic and was worn with a tousled updo with wispy side fringe (veeery late noughties) and a smoky eye. Our favourite bit about the dress, revealed more clearly as you scroll through the later images in the OOTD fit pic carousel she posted, is its back: the full-length gown is practically backless except for a chic T-bar strap detail.
Honestly, who but Dua can we trust to give us next-level chic any day of the week?
