Dua Lipa has a new boo in her life.
Since the “Levitating” singer split from model Anwar Hadid in December 2021, she’s been linked to celebrities such as musician Jack Harlow and comedian Trevor Noah. After those romance rumors swirled, she’s been spotted with someone new, and outlets have claimed that they’ve been an official item since February 2023.
Dua seemingly hard launched her relationship with her new beau, Romain Gavras, on the Omar La Fraise (The King of Algiers) red carpet during the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival on May 19. The pair cozied up to each other in elegant all-black ensembles, with Romain in a classic suit and Dua in a floor-length satin black cutout gown.
The pair was first spotted at the Saint Laurent Paris Fashion Week show three months earlier, as reported by Daily Mail UK. The couple held hands as they exited the event, and according to insider reports from The Sun, they had been “quietly getting to know each other for months.” A few days earlier, they were also seen leaving a BAFTAs afterparty together, per Daily Mail UK.

Romain dated British singer-songwriter Rita Ora for six months before splitting in March 2021, according to Daily Mail UK. The couple split over “work commitments,” the outlet reported.
“Rita and Romain split up months ago because of difficulties with their respective work commitments,” a spokesperson for the filmmaker said. “They remain close friends.”
He’s 42 years old
Romain was born on July 4, 1981, which makes him approximately 14 years older than Dua, 27. On his 42nd birthday, Dua marked the occasion with a sweet image of the two walking side-by-side, Romain’s arm wrapped around Dua’s waist and her arm draped across his shoulders. “joyeux anniversaireeeee bébé 💞,” she penned in the caption.
