Dua Lipa May Have Started a Whole New Cardigan Trend For 2020 — and We're 100% On Board
While 2019 was the year of Katie Holmes' many cardigan tricks, perhaps the title of Cozy Sweater Queen will be passsed on to Dua Lipa in 2020. The singer already seems off to a great start by the looks of her latest posts, sharing a whole new way to wear this wardrobe staple via Instagram and Twitter.
What initally caught our eye was Lipa's sweet strawberry tank top, which included white bow embellishments and reminded us of something straight out of Limited Too. But, once we looked a little closer? We noticed Dua's pink Gallery Dept. "cardigan" was actually a sweatshirt that had been cut down the middle to create an opening.

Performing all around the world, starring in campaigns, sharing cute moments with her boyfriend, Anwar Hadid, and finding time to DIY? Really, what can't this woman do?

Of course, what tied Lipa's look together was the fact that she accessorized with a variety of chains — on her neck, on her wrists, on her fingers in ring form — a pair of drop earrings, and a shoulder bag. She also made sure to wear loose jeans on the bottom, creating a true cozy-meets-cute outfit for day out in LA.
Will the newest celeb-loved trend be to create $0 cardigans out of old sweatshirts? Well, we're certainly going to give it a try ourselves this weekend (the sustainability factor is a huge bonus). Now, the question is: Will Katie Holmes try it, too?
