Dua Lipa Just Took Monochromatic Dressing to the Next Level
British pop singer Dua Lipa is having a serious music moment, and her experimental—read: refreshing—personal style is certainly not hurting her case. For her latest performance alongside DJ Calvin Harris on The Graham Norton Show last night, where the duo performed their single, “One Kiss,” Lipa continued her fun fashion streak with a daring take on monochromatic dressing. She took on a tricky all-over orange hue that made for a bold, yet polished, statement.
For the appearance, she wore an orange single-breasted blazer with matching-colored tights from Versace’s Spring 2018 runway show. Tights as pants, you ask? Why, yes: The look has only been popularized by luxury labels such as Balenciaga, for instance, who continues to offer its stretchy thigh high boots that, indeed, double as pants. Lipa accessorized the look with a heavy gold chain necklace and earrings, and stacked platform sandals. Who said a suit has to be stuffy?
