Dua Lipa Embraces Drama in Mermaid Gown With Diamond Bones by Schiaparelli at Golden Globes 2024
Dua Lipa stepped out at the Golden Globe Awards 2024 in Los Angeles on Sunday in a custom Schiaparelli look designed by the brand’s creative director Daniel Roseberry.
Inspired by her character in Greta Gerwig’s movie, the Barbie Mermaid, Lipa wore a black velvet strapless bustier dress with a corset bodice and a dramatic mermaid skirt. The ensemble was completed with gold and diamond embroidery reminiscent of a skeleton.

Lipa also wore Jimmy Choo heels and Midas-worthy Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including an archival gold and platinum necklace from 1962 with diamonds, yellow beryl and topaz quartz.
The singer was nominated for Best Song tonight thanks to her track from the “Barbie” soundtrack, “Dance the Night Away.”
Lipa has a long relationship with Schiaparelli. The singer was dressed by Roseberry to attend the brand’s fall 2021 collection show in Paris.
The 81st annual Golden Globe Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, celebrate the biggest achievements across film and television in 2023.
