Dua Lipa Brings the Tiny Bag Phenomenon to the Beach

Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus’s penchant for tiny bags is well established. It’s hard to imagine a bag smaller than the one he revealed on the runway for Fall 2019 in Paris, though. Even more minuscule than his wildly popular micro bags he launched 3 seasons ago, the newest versions (which became a bonafide internet sensation) can fit comfortably in the palm of your hand and barely fit a set of keys.

As her selfies make clear, Dua Lipa’s’s been a longtime fan of the mini bag trend. She posed in a black slip dress with a mustard yellow-colored Le Sac Chiquito purse last year on Instagram and now she’s giving one of the designer’s more underrated purses some love.

Just yesterday, the British singer posted a photo of her in Los Angeles posing in a white, puffy Jacquemus dress that cinched at the waist with a fringed straw mini bag in her hands. The piece from the designer's Spring 2018 collection might be small, but it sure packs a punch, reinterpreting the massive straw purse that usually gets toted at the beach. Room enough for an itsy-bitsy bikini and travel-sized sunblock… just maybe?
