Dua Lipa’s New Blonde Hair Color Has the Perfect Hint of Rose Gold

Dua Lipa just went blonde, and we are obsessed with her new shade. The musician debuted her major color change on Twitter and Instagram on October 1, sharing a gallery of pics of a pretty warm, fall-ready rose gold blonde shade. "A new era! Thank you for your patience. See you soon," she wrote, following the tweet with the hashtag #DL2.

Wait, wait, wait — let's back it up a minute. Lipa just dyed her signature brunette hair blonde and hinted at her new album coming soon? We're shocked, but then again, if you're going to make a major announcement about a new album, you might as well change your hair color, too. Remember Taylor Swift's pink streaks to promote Lover? A new hairstyle often signifies change and growth, so if this rose gold shade is any indication of what's to come, we can expect big things from the forthcoming #DL2. Billboard reports that her second album doesn't have a release date yet but that she's been working on it for a few months. And her Instagram sure looks like she's about to drop some news.

Lipa has become one of our favorite fashion and beauty icons since she hit the scene with her blockbuster single "New Rules" in 2017, and while she loves to experiment with her personal style, her hair has almost always been worn in tousled, dark waves. She has, however, experimented with both bangs and a blonde wig. Was the wigged-out moment the impetus for her new dye job, or will #DL2 be taking Lipa in a more romantic, flirtatious direction? Regardless, we're loving the rose gold on her and feeling inspired to make a color change of our own.
