With Teacher Appreciation Week approaching, DTLR has teamed up with Crocs to launch the “Teachers Rock” campaign, an effort that aims to celebrate educators in several major cities.

DTLR selected educators to honor throughout Teacher Appreciation Week, which runs from May 6-10. The educators are based in Cleveland, Miami, Baltimore, Atlanta and the greater Washington, D.C. They were selected based on their involvement in community and school events.

To honor these educators, DTLR stated it will give $2,000 worth of Crocs products, as well as a gift bag that includes a custom lunch bag, shoes, shirt and stress relief items. Each honoree, according to DTLR, will be surprised during the school day and presented with these items.

“The ‘Teachers Rock’ campaign was born to shine a light on the dedication of educators and their vital roles in their local communities,” DTLR senior director of community outreach Tremayne Lipscomb said in a statement. “We chose to focus on teachers because they understand the demanding nature of the profession, as they can spend long hours on their feet everyday to educate and inspire students. We’re honored to partner with Crocs on this campaign and give back to local heroes who give so much to their communities.”

DTLR — which has more than 250 stores in 21 states — said via statement that this effort is its first with Crocs, and coincides with the footwear brand’s introduction into its stores.
