Dsquared2 Taps the Smurfs for One Life One Planet Collection

Dsquared2 is seeing blue in its green One Life One Planet capsule collection.
The Italian brand teamed with the nostalgic cartoon franchise “The Smurfs” for the co-branded line, spanning denim to accessories.
“First drawn in the ’50s, the Smurfs have etched their place into pop culture nostalgia,” the brand said in a statement. “The Dsquared2 x Smurfs collection shows their playful personalities mixed with the signature styles and fabrics of the brand.”
The Dsquared2 x Smurfs One Life One Planet collection includes men’s and women’s denim shorts, wide-leg jeans, an oversize jean jacket, khaki cargo shorts and a bomber jacket. Each item features Smurfs-themed patches on the front and the back. Hoodies and graphic T-shirts are also included.
High and low top sneakers constructed in cotton canvas and an array of accessories, including a water bottle, bucket hats and backpacks round out the collection. A baseball cap has “Dean & Dan Caten”—the names of the identical twin brothers and founders of Dsquared2—written across the back.
The brand released its first One Life One Planet collection April 2022, and a second in October 2022.
Dsquared2 describes One Life One Planet as the founders’ commitment to contributing to a more responsible fashion industry. The brand said the collection “represents a dedicated path to finding ways to reduce the environmental impact and maximize the social impact.”
The collection itself prioritizes environmentally responsible materials.
“The designers sought out fabrics which reduce, for certain aspects, their environmental impact and innovative ways to develop and finish products,“ the Dsquared2 team said.
The Dsquared2 x Smurfs One Life One Planet collection launches on April 12. The collection’s starting price is $115 for a water bottle. It will be available at all Dsquared2 stores, Dsquared2’s website and select retailers.
