A road trip through idyllic Napa Valley is dreamy all on its own, but the Four Seasons is making things even more memorable for visitors. In the heart of Northern California's wine country, the hotel group has created a once-in-a-lifetime itinerary that gets you behind the wheel of an Italian supercar while making the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley your home base. There, you'll enjoy a weeklong food- and wine-filled getaway. After the success of the company's inaugural road trip through Tuscany, and the awe-inspiring seven days through the heart of the European Alps, the Drive Experience has arrived stateside.

This fall, you can cruise the rolling hills while sampling the best of Napa. Having opened in Calistoga in November 2021, the Four Seasons sits on 22.5 acres and is Napa Valley’s first and only resort set within a working winery, Elusa Winery.

But first things first, let's talk cars. Travelers can bring in their own vehicle from home, or select something new and exciting from the fleet by Canossa Events. Maybe you want to channel your inner James Bond with the sleek and elegant Aston Martin DB11. Or, perhaps you prefer to embrace your wild side in the silver and neon-green Lamborghini Huracan Spyder or cherry-red Ferrari 488 GTB. No matter which you pick, the Four Seasons proves there's no better way to explore the region.

After the difficult decision of choosing just one vehicle is behind you, the relaxation can truly begin. The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley's curated itinerary will take you on a journey through California's wine capital. From Oct. 29 to Nov. 4, you’ll get unfettered access to vineyards and wineries like Opus One, a collaboration between winemaking duo Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi.

Other noteworthy destinations include SingleThread Farm and Hog Island. At SingleThread, the 24 acres of farmland are worked by hand. You’ll see hundreds of varieties of culinary crops and cut flowers that contribute to the three Michelin-star restaurant, nestled in the heart of downtown Healdsburg. You'll also travel along the coast and enjoy breathtaking views of the Pacific before arriving at Tomales Bay to visit Hog Island Oyster Co. There, you can learn about the biodiversity and sustainability of oyster farming, as well as how to shuck an oyster — a skill I can now proudly say I have.

When you’re not cruising the Northern California roads, there's plenty to do back at the hotel. Night one kicks off with a welcome dinner in the Vineyard Barn, surrounded by unobstructed mountain views and rows of cabernet vines. In the remaining days, you'll have the opportunity to take a private ferry tour around San Francisco Bay. The seven-day experience ends with a hot-air balloon ride, above the very vineyards you’ve spent the last few days surrounded by. Finally, you'll touch down to celebrate at the farewell gala dinner and enjoy one last breakfast before your departure.

In your downtime, soak in all that Four Seasons Napa Valley has to offer, including Spa Talisa, two stunning pools with vineyard views, and meals by chef Rogelio Garcia and his team at Calistoga’s only Michelin-rated restaurant, Auro. Enjoy a glass of red on the patio at Truss, or simply admire the views outside your room as the sun dips behind the mountains. To cap it off, unwind in your room's deep soaking tub before snuggling into Four Seasons' famous bedding. And, of course, be sure to light the in-room fireplace and shake off the last of the November chill as a newly minted car enthusiast.
