Drew Scott Performed an Acoustic Cover of "Shallow" from 'A Star is Born' and We're Obsessed
Property Brothers star Drew Scott has been wowing fans on social media with a series of acoustic cover songs.
On Friday, he shared a cover of one of his "fav songs," Lady Gaga's hit ballad "Shallow."
Drew Scott's favorite song is "Shallow," too, but chances are his new rendition sounds better than the one you belt out in the shower.
Everyone from Lea Michele and Darren Criss to Kelly Clarkson to subway sensation Charlotte Awbery has covered Lady Gaga's Grammy and Academy Award-winning song from the musical A Star Is Born, but Drew brought his own unique style to the ballad with a heartfelt acoustic version he debuted on his Instagram on Friday.
"This is one of my fav songs," the Property Brothers star captioned his post, before expressing his gratitude to his music tutor Rick Russo. "Thanks for the fun, @rickrussomusic. I’ll have to keep attending the Rick School of Rock to get to your level of play. 🙌🎸."
Fans on Instagram and Twitter raved about Drew's latest in a series of acoustic covers that he's shared on social media in recent weeks.
"Wow... just wow. You sound amazing Drew. Love that song too," one fan said.
"That was wonderful! Between you and @zooeydeschanel, singalongs with your families must be epic!" another commenter said, referring to Drew's twin brother, Jonathan Scott, and his girlfriend, singer and actress Zooey Deschanel.
One fan went so far as to hail Drew as "Mr. Gaga."
And Canadian country singer Brett Kissel even asked the HGTV star, "Wanna go on tour?"
Between his recent rendition of Bill Wither's hit song "Lean on Me" and his father-son duet of “Margaritaville,” Drew is developing quite a musical following.
Drew and Jonathan also perform as the pop-country duo The Scott Brothers, so here's hoping there will be plenty more Property Brothers serenades in our future!
