Drew Scott’s Adorable Barbie-Themed Photoshoot With Son Parker Has Parent-Shamers Losing It

Drew Scott’s photo for the Barbie movie, featuring his and Linda Phan’s son Parker, has parent-shamers up in arms, and we’re so tired of this.
On March 10, Scott shared an adorable photo of Parker’s foot on his Instagram. He poted the photo with a Barbie-themed explanation, saying, “Secret’s out, Parker was #MargotRobbie’s foot double. #Barbie #Oscars.” (We totally called that!)

In the photo, we see Parker showing off his feet in the same way Margot Robbie does in that iconic Barbie scene (which Scott shows the clip he’s referring to in the next slide)! It’s truly such a sweet moment, but of course, trolls find a way to ruin it.
This nod to Barbie is adorable, right? Well, apparently, parent-shamers have a big problem with Parker being near his mother’s sparkly heels. One rude comment read, “Please don’t!! Put a man’s shoe next to him, not a woman’s heels!!!” Luckily, many people shut down this ludicrous comment, saying how Parker being near a shoe isn’t anything to fret about at all.
Along with that, another commenter asked if Parker was a boy or girl, as if it mattered. Another commenter shut it down perfectly, saying (translated), “a kid, the father is just playing. He’s a baby and he doesn’t know anything about it or he’s not really wearing Mommy’s shoes. Let’s not make a drama.”
So parent-shamers: watch the Barbie movie, take a breath, and let’s not shame a literal toddler. Sounds good?
For those who don’t know, Scott and Linda Phan met at a Toronto Fashion Week event in 2010, hitting it off soon after. They later married in 2018. After 12 years together, they welcomed their son Parker James, born in May 2022, specifically on their fourth wedding anniversary. In early 2024, they announced they were expecting another baby!
In an interview on The TODAY Show With Hoda & Jenna, Drew revealed how Parker is doing, saying, “Parker is amazing. He’s a sweetheart. He’s now walking. Running. So I’m getting my steps in chasing him down. He copies everything. So if I’m like ‘ugh,’ then you just hear a little, ‘ugh.’”
