Drew Scott’s Acoustic Cover of “Shallow” by Lady Gaga Will Take Your Breath Away
For the third time in recent days, the Property Brothers star Drew Scott has shared an acoustic cover of a mellow pop song on social media. Drew already spread his wings this year by launching a new magazine with twin brother Jonathan. Is a full-length album next on his to-do list?
This time around, Drew recorded "Shallow," the haunting Academy Award–winning ballad performed by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in A Star Is Born. Drew's guitar teacher, Rick Russo, is his duet partner.
"I'm off the deep end, watch as I dive in / I'll never meet the ground / Crash through the surface, where they can't hurt us / We're far from the shallow now," Jonathan croons during the three-minute performance.
"Shallow - Lady Gaga" · This is one of my fav songs. Thanks for the fun, Rick Russo. I’ll have to keep attending the Rick School of Rock to get to your level of play. 🙌🎸 pic.twitter.com/Prr9gmOId1

To mark Father's Day, Drew followed up his impressive performance of "Lean on Me" with a duet with none other than his dad. The dapper gents played a cover of the Jimmy Buffet classic "Margaritaville."
"He taught me to play, he taught all three of us boys karate, and most importantly, he taught us by example how to be a hardworking, good human," Drew wrote on Instagram. "I can’t wait until we can see each other again. Until then, we’ve been enjoying our virtual music sessions (special thanks to mom for the tech support!)."
Zooey Deschanel, who is Jonathan's girlfriend, is one half of the acclaimed indie duo She & Him. Here's hoping that she's the next in line to get in on the family fun next!
