Drew Carey’s Shocking New Quarantine Look Is Sending Fans Into a Social Media Frenzy

Drew Carey has been MIA from Instagram for nearly two years, absent from a page where the host of CBS' The Price Is Right often shares inside looks into his travels and shenanigans off screen. But he's returned this week in a major way — the 62-year-old television personality has debuted a shockingly dramatic new look that he's apparently grown into while social distancing from others during the pandemic. Drew is now sporting a fully grown beard and a glossy mane of hair atop his head; plus, he's embraced a natural look as he's gone fully gray .

The return to Instagram to debut his new look may also be doubly significant for Drew, as he's publicly shared his grief surrounding the death of his ex-fianceé Amie Hartwick earlier this year. "Tough year for you Drew… hope you are okay," one fan commented.

Most fans aren't totally sure what Drew has been up to since the pandemic began in March, as The Price Is Right filming has been on a hiatus due to COVID-19 concerns. The show has been airing reruns since then — with themed weeks and reruns of specials, including the best of 2019 — but it seems that Drew's return to Instagram has fans thinking of the future.

"Keep it for the new TPIR season!" one person shared, one of the 600 plus fans who have since weighed in on Drew's latest post. "Can't wait to see you back on the TRIR. Nice look," another added. A few of Drew's friends from The Price Is Right set also reacted to the host's return to Instagram, including Manuela Arbeláez, one of the game show's permanent models.

Others can't help but comment on how the mature look suits the television personality. "Wait… Why is Drew looking super hot 👀🔥," quipped one fan. "Always so dapper," says another. But Instagram user Nicole Werner Stevens sums it up best: "Silver 🦊," she shares, just one of the many fans who can't get enough of Drew's new facial hair.

It's currently unclear when The Price Is Right is due to return, and fans are still unable to request tickets to the show's taping, nor has an upcoming calendar been announced. But if anything's clear, it's that Drew might want to think about bringing his quarantine look to the small screen whenever filming starts up again.
